1986
Bill Violette and Joel Roy
Creative Dimensions' co-founders, William Violette and Joel Roy were making dreams come true for other companies' clients. They were separately providing quality marketing services to many of the who's who of Connecticut's business world. Both achieved high levels of excellence and accolades by their customers.
1987
Bill decided to use his 10+ years experience to start his own full-service trade show house and established Creative Dimensions. He was doing corporate showroom displays and projects around the world for Otis Elevator and other clients. Bill saw that clients marketing department needed vendors they could count on. He focused on the most important needs, communication during projects, attention to detail and great service.
With many award-winning designs, Joel started his own custom sign and graphic production company, providing high-end sign design and fabrication for many major clients in the financial and supermarket industries. Joel expanded into most of southern New England with a highly skilled and experienced staff. About this time, that Joel started to subcontract some graphic design and production to Creative Dimensions.
1993
Joel and Bill recognized the great synergies a merger would present them. They combined their companies into a merger of equals, with the resulting name remaining Creative Dimensions. Their 15,000 square foot facility in Plainville, CT was perfectly situated halfway between Boston and New York. The growth of Creative Dimensions demanded more space and, in 1996, they moved into a newer 36,000 square foot facility in Plainville, CT.
1998
Creative Dimensions added an additional 15,000 square feet of offsite warehousing in Connecticut and some flexible storage facilities in Las Vegas for West Coast customers.
2005
Creative Dimensions purchased Convergence Exhibits expanding its offerings to include a full line of portable displays and digital graphic products. With many years of experience as distributors of Nomadic Display, Convergence Exhibits and its staff fit perfectly into the Creative Dimensions world. This allows clients to satisfy all of their portable, custom and signage needs with one staff under one roof. The portable division of Creative Dimensions is now under the same Creative Dimension name with its offices and showroom located within the Plainville facility.
2006
Creative Dimensions became an open book mangement company that allows our team members to help with the performance of the company and service our clients well. We all share in the success of the company going forward.
2008
In September of 2008, Creative Dimensions doubled the capacity of its facilities by moving into a newer 70,000 sq. ft. building to have everything in one location at 345 McCausland Court in Cheshire, CT. This location is centrally located in Connecticut just off I-691 between I-84 and I-91.
Creative Dimensions has grown to over 50 quality team members and soon will provide a new service of being a distribution point for metal extrusions for the display and construction industries.
